So, I'm transitioning to day shift on Monday. Any tips/tricks for getting started and learning to sleep at night again? I worked my last night shift last night so it's a quick turnaround. Thanks in advance!

This probably won't work for everybody, but here's what I'd do:

1. Stay up until the sun comes up.

2. Walk to the kitchen and start a pot of coffee.

3. Go into the bathroom and start the water for a lukewarm shower.

4. Go back to the kitchen and turn off the coffee pot.

5. Go to the bathroom again and shut off the water.

6. Crawl into bed under a nice, warm, soft blanket and go to sleeeeeeeep.

7. Go back to working night shift.

8. Never attempt to transition to day shift again.

Ha, I wish it worked like that for me! Alas, my body has firmly decided that it hates night shift (and I've been doing it for a year and a half), so I'm happy to go back to a normal sleep schedule!
