transfer from an ADN to BSN

Published

Is it possible to, or has anyone had success, being enrolled in an ADN program at San Diego City Community College, while concurrently trying to get into a the BSN program at San Diego State University? Would this be a good decision anyway, or would it be advisable just to stick with the ADN program and enroll in an RN-BSN program upon graduating the ADN. I desire more to get into a BSN program so I can apply for the Navy nurse corps program, but I also would like to get my nursing education started as soon as possible. As of now I qualify to get into an ADN program but still need one or two more classes to qualify for entry to a BSN at SDSU. Any advice or words of wisdom?

Most RN-to-BSN degree completion programs require applicants to already have an active, valid RN license at the time of admission.
