Hello, I was wait listed for Fall 2011 at Towson. Anyone else in the same boat? I haven't seen many threads about Towson for this fall, especially for wait listed people. I did email Brook Necker to see what the odds are, and she responded by saying that over 300 people applied to the program, and only 72 were accpeted, and 50 were wait listed. The average GPA for the wait listed people were 3.5, and the accepted average was about 3.64. In addition, of the 50 people waitlisted, only about 10-15 are pulled off into the program if any accepted people decide not to attend the program. She said this year was very competitive compared to other years (amen to that!).
She also said that if you wish to remain on the wait list, you will have to apply to the university and become accepted by May 2nd because if you do get pulled off the wait list, you will also have to be a Towson student (in the general university). This means you have to pay that $300 registration fee (if your not already a current student) even though you may not be accepted into the Nursing Program, so you will lose your $300 if not accepted!
Its for this reason that I'm applying to CCBC's program also (and its $90 per unit rather than $239 per unit at Towson).
