hey all
I got to tour the combat support hospital yesterday w/ my recruiter. What a fantastic time I had. I met w/ a bunch of nurses/ other officers that I will be there with and what a bunch of nice people. My recruiter explained to me about the CSH operation and what it entails, while it indeed looks like something from the show MASH, it is quite more detailed and laboring than the show makes it appear.
They were setting up for family day that was today. Pretty neat stuff. Hopefully, everything will go smoothly and I will be commissioned in the near future and get to really start hanging out and learning new stuff with these people.
If you want a better idea of the unit www.advancefornurses.com did a piece back in July. Just search for the 405th CSH from West Hartford, Ct and you should be able to read it.
To all of you going to OBC next couple weeks Good Luck and Hoo-ah! I'm shooting for January (after all Majors can move mountains he (the recruiter) can get it done----tee hee!)
