I was just accepted to TWU for this fall. I know that the school is challenging and I should expect to spend 60-90 hours a week in class/studying, but I'm just wondering if any of you TWU students could pass on some words of wisdom to the small fry here. :typing
Also, will any of you be going to Colton, CA for clinical? That's where I'll be.
Thanks,

I am a TWU student and I'm completing clinicals in Alexandria LA. I have 10 months left! I was just like you, wondering about the program, but I will tell you, the first year is tough. I thought at times I wouldn't get through Rienke's class, but somehow managed to rough it out. It's all worth it, just keep positive and focused. My only advice would be to form a a study group as soon as school starts! This is an absolute must! Good luck!

1) Take the chemistry tutor. Yes, yes...it's more money, but it is money well spent.
2) See if you can't get a copy of a notes CD floating around. Much of the info doesn't change, and it makes your life a lot easier. There's nothing on there we're not allowed to have, and it represents many hours of senior students creating study guides. Let their effort keep you from re-inventing the wheel.
3) Make friends with a couple of seniors.
4) If you haven't started, get a good basic chemistry book, and a good medical physiology textbook, and start reading them both, cover to cover. (David Bell wrote one).
That ought to get you started. And congratulations on getting in. It's hell, but it is good education. You will be prepared.
