tips on how to answer the nlcex questions

hi everyone or anyone...just wondering if someone could give me some tips on how to answer the questions on the exam. i think i just need help as far as how to pick out the right answer, whether it be like...always assessing before interventions. that type of thing. thanks!!

look at the sticky above "throwing random facts". people post good strategies and rationales. i give credit to that thread for my nclex success. :wink2:

you need to know and understand the steps of the nursing process, which is the problem solving process we use, to understand why you would assess before performing any nursing interventions. that is basic to critical thinking in nursing. you have a lot of catching up to do if you did not learn that already.

chapter 5 of saunders comprehensive review for the nclex-rn examination by linda anne silvestri explains the strategy to answering nclex questions. it includes knowing the nursing process. here is advice from several websites on answering nclex style questions:
