Time for a change

Hey Guys,

So I currently work for a hospital in Western New York specifically in a surgical oncology unit. I have worked there since October 2017 and although there is no contract I gave my unit manager my word and told her I would stay for 2 years. I can’t see myself staying here longer than that because I miss my friends and family that are currently in NYC. I haven’t been able to connect with people the way I have back home.

From what I’ve read nursing in nyc is totally a different beast especially with how busy it is and the nursing ratios.

Should I move back to NYC, how tough is it to acclimate coming from another area? I am also considering moving closer to NY either Philly, NJ or Ct- Yale New Haven Hospital? Should I do a travel assignment?

Does anyone have any insight on any good hospitals that they would recommend
