I have a question for anyone who knows anyone who is either applying or got into cal state san bernardinos program. I went to an info session and they basically read off everything on the website. The only thing new I found out was that you can print out your Teas results from ATI and send them that instead of pay ATI a bogus amount of money to send one dingy little piece of paper.

Anywho all of us asked them how they determined who got into the program. Their program is the only program that won't let you find out you got in like July. Which is good cause if a lot of people got in somewhere else then that frees up a spot. The bad thing is that they let you know way to late.

so if anyone got in or knows someone that got in and could present their stats that would be great. I just really want to know where I stand. I got letters of rec and a high pre req GPA (3.83) teas I am taking this Friday (hoping to get above 90%).

So some hints tips or insight would be great...thanks!

Hey there! Csusb uses a point system to determine who gets into the program. I am in the First Year Fall Cohort right now and things are going pretty fast which is not a bad thing in my opinion. You definitely do learn a lot in a short period of time, so I'd say if you get in next fall get the books early and start reading/highlighting, making notes cuz it will definitely save you time when the quarter begins. As for stats, I got a 4.0 overall and an 87.6% on Teas. I was satisfied with my teas score the first time around so i decided not to take it again because the test was during the school year and I wanted focus on the pre-reqs. However, you got nothing to lose taking it again. I think you are in pretty good standing right now with your stats. Just remember that csusb only cares about the grades you get in your pre-reqs so focus on those the most. And the sciences are worth more points because they are five unit classes rather than four units. Hope this helps! Good luck! :D

Wow a 4.0 overall GPA. Man I wish I knew back then that I wanted to be a nurse! My overall is only around 3.15 but after this semester it will be 3.2. All my science pre reqs are As though my only Bs are in English and speech. I got an 82% overall on TEAS making dumb mistakes. I am going to redo it since CSUSB has no restrictions like CSULA does. CSULA actually is my top choice, since luckily thy display their points and I believe according to previous cohorts, my points are pretty competitive. Anyway CSUSB is a great back up school I just wish you found out earlier than July. I still have to do college algebra for CSUSB. I plan to do that in winter. Anywho thanks for replying. I just rarely see people on here that have any knowledge of CSUSB. Thanks for the info, if I don't get in anywhere then at least I can apply for CSUSB winter cohort.

Good luck at CSUSB!
