Well right now I am down in the dumps! I know I will bring myself right back out but ugh I need a week!
I am nearing 4 years of being graduated come May! I took my NCLEX RN the first time after being out of school for a year and did not study at all. I of course failed with 84 questions, not sure what I was thinking! I just took it again this past Saturday and DID study my little behind off this time. I even spent a couple hundred and did Hurst review online. One thing I didn't do this time was go over meds and labs enough which wouldn't you know I got a ton of on my test because they knew I didn't know the content! I also could have done a ton more practice questions. I failed once again with 157 questions.
I am a wife and mother of three (7,6 and 3) so of course to study in quiet is few and far between. Any advice on what to study/do the THIRD time around aside from really focusing on labs and meds?!?! I'm also afraid that I just don't understand how to answer NCLEX questions. I won't be taking a couple years break this time, that is never a good thing so as soon as my 45 days is up I am scheduling!!
Any feedback/input is so greatly appreciated :)

I just graduated December 2014, reviewed with Hurst Review as well for about 6 weeks and took the test this past Thursday. I was able to pass with 75 questions and took about 1.5 hours or so. I made quizlet flashcards for medications, insulin times, and normal values... The medication flashcards helped me tremendously...and out of the many medications they gave me, I honestly knew about a lot of them, and didn't know about 2 or 3. This is coming from someone who previously has no medical background (before nursing school)... I figured it'd be easier to just study the classes of drugs and their suffixes... I'll post a link to my quizlet page and try to go over the flashcards whenever you have time. You can also download the quizlet app on your phone and review it that way as well.

Thank you Rebecca, that is much appreciated!! On the q reviews for hurst I got Nothing below 57% which is terrible but not failing. I should have known from that, that I wasn't ready and maybe rescheduled. Oh well it's over and done with, time to buckle down and try again!
No problem MommyofThree!
This is the problem I have with their q reviews.. Hurst states that students who score an average of 83/125 tend to pass the NCLEX with no problem. I scored way less than that and passed the NCLEX with no problem as well. My average was in the low to mid 60's (percent-wise) or in the 70's/125. So, this time around, if you're scoring in my range, don't fret. I never got anything in the 80's/125 and still did okay :)))
Good luck!!
Here are my scores, just FYI:
Q1: 72/125
Q2: 79/125
Q3: 80/125
Q4: 78/125
Q5: 81/130 (which I was ecstatic about but realized it was out of 130)
Q6:77/125
