Discussion

They should go!

We really should get rid of 'our' Royal Family, I've said it for years and is really the subject for another discussion forum. But the main reason is PRINCE PHILIP'S GAFFS!

He has said the following:

What did the prince ask an aboriginal man on his jubilee year visit to Australia?

Answer: Do you still throw spears at each other?

Of whom did the prince demand, in 1984, "You are a woman, aren't you?"

Answer: A Kenyan woman who had presented him with a gift

What kind of cuisine was Philip describing at the 1986 World Wildlife Fund conference: "If it has got four legs and it is not a chair, if it has got two wings and it flies but is not an aeroplane, and if it swims and it is not a submarine, the ... will eat it."

Answer: Cantonese

To British students in China, during the 1986 state visit: "If you stay here much longer you'll all be ... "

Answer: slitty-eyed

The prince compared a proposed ban on firearms after the 1996 Dunblane shooting to a ban on:

Answer: cricket bats

In 1997, how did Philip refer to a Cambridge University car park attendant who failed to recognise him?

Answer: Bloody silly fool!

To a student in 1998 who had been trekking in Papua New Guinea: "You managed not to get ... then"

Answer: eaten

He's sooooo embarrasing. smilie_schreck.gif Mind you, they are all related.
