thesis problem statement

How about narrowing it to something like Health hazards(sp) facing floor nurses or something like that. I know there is a lot of research and articles on that topic.

well, we did put that at first, but we realized it will be difficult for us to be surveying floor/staff nurses in our area (nurses too few in our base hosp, other hospitals too far fr school, etc..)

I must assumed you are in your fourth year in nursing.

My thesis was " Health Care Competencies of Primigravida in Rural and Urban Areas: A Comparative Study."

I chose this because it was easy to gather data specially if you are still doing your Community rotation. I ended up with almost 60 respondents.

The Theoritical framewark that you can use is Orem's theory. If I am not mistaken she is the one that likes self-care.

The Conceptual framework was based on 3 Self-care competencies criteria namely: Knowledge, Skills and attitude. Again, if the first time mothers have the right knowledge, the proper skills and the postive attitude towards her pregnancies she will have an uneventful pregnancies.

In my thesis ( that was 1990 ), i found out than the rural area moms are have the proper skills and right attitudes while the urban moms knows more but because of other factors she seemed not ready for the baby.
