Never had the pleasure of a skeleton in the closet BUT:

One Halloween a few years ago, a 5th grade teacher friend of mine, and I, played a great joke on the kids. For 6 days prior to Halloween, we had a "dummy" in the classroom in various positions. Each day another teacher "victim" would come to the classroom to complain of loosing something, and sure enough "Herman" would have it in one of his pockets. This pretty much had them convinced that Herman was wandering the halls at night. On the eve of Halloween day, I was "Herman". Dressed just like him and sat in the same place as he was the day before, at a computer terminal. During the course of the day, I would make very little, minute movements that one of the kids would catch out of the corner of their eye. When they yelped and tried to convice the teacher that Herman moved, the teacher would tell them there was no way. Anyway, this went on for a couple of hours. It was pretty hysterical throughout the day and about 1pm, Herman came alive. The class SCATTERED to the four winds and it took the next two hours to calm them down. Was quite fun!!

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: When I was a kid my dad did this with a scarecrow on our front porch. On Halloween he dressed in the scarecrows clothes and sat in the same chair. The kids would stand there and wait for someone to come to the door. My dad would make small movments or wave at the little brothers or sisters that were tagging along. My dad scared one little girl so bad she wet her pants on our porch, then she tugged on her brothers sleeve when he turned to see what she was bugging him about my dad stood with his arms over head and growled. Both kids took off screaming down the street. :rotfl: I don't think they walked on our side of the block for the next few months. We still laugh at that! Poor kid, my dad felt kind of bad he scared her so bad! She's probably still in therapy :chuckle
