The moon in August

I don't know, I've been a nurse during the worse nursing shortage in years but this pas August just took the cake. Was it just me? We were working soooo short all the time. Usually it's just the weekend that gets bad around here with sick calls and such but having no regular staff in the middle of the week? I've spoken to other nurses around here and they say they have never been forced to work overtime as much EVER. What gives?
