I work on a psych unit that has a 50/50 ratio of RN's and youth workers. Historically we have collectively referred to ourselves as 'frontline'. Our management does not like this term and would like it replaced with another term. What term do you use in your facilities to describe your direct care staff?
In formal situations direct care staff are refered to as direct care staff. What is your administration's objection to "front line"? I find it abit degorgatory to the other staff.
