4 th time and praying: Nclex 2016

Okay , so I just took my Nclex today for the 4TH TIME. I have been through it ALL with this exam. First time it cut me off at around a 15_ . second time at about 95 something. Third time I Ran out of time. And finally today after studying non stop for about a month and half, praying, fasting, taking vitamins, and trying hard , my test ended at 75-77 . Im really not sure. Feelings , well Im anxious, kinda happy it ended fast and did not have to go through that torture. I took my test by 8 am and by 10:45am I was out. Dear Lord I really hope I pass this time.

So I just want to give you a brief hx of myself. I went to school in PR , took a PR test over there and past it. Right away in 2011 I began workkng as a Emergency Room nurse. Did everything there, from triage, observation, CCU , admissions, Chest Pain Unit. Our population were from Geriatrics to Pediatrics. I spent 3 years there. Then decided I wanted a change. So I changed to a wellness clinic for a working population. Loved it there!! But my husband got a job in NYC and had to leave that job after being there a year. He left first to settle with the kids. I literelly felt like I was being ripped out of a place I loved. Here comes where the NClex began.... when I began to plan my future in NYc

I spent 3 months studying and working, while also being depressed and moving , all at the same time. Tool the Nclex the first time in PR . Of course I failed. I tried NCSBN in about July 2015 . I dont know if it was all the commotion, that I found it to be too much. I still remember how frustrating it was to click a link and 12 more pop up. Obviously that didnt work for me. By the way I spent like $100.

Second time I used, just the nurse Mastery App and Saunders. I had just moved to NY, between decorating my new home, setting a routine for my girls, holidays and all . I studied but not like I should have and set myself for failure. Took the test only because I had a hob offered from the same company I was working for and had a deadline. I kinda knew I was going to fail, but was still very hopeful. Speny $30 and saunder 6th editon i think it was 30-50 dollars. Not sure

Third time , told myself okay it time for busness. Studied harder , used saunder, mastery app and kaplan. I also used resoursed from the library. They had the kaplan test stradegies book there. That was very helpful. Took practice test after test and read review the rationel. It was about June 2016 when I took it again , thats when I spent too much time in the Nclex. I spent 6 torturous hours there. To find out I FAILEd again. Decided to forget NCLex for a while and tried enjoying my summe with my girls. They began school , i began to prepare myself for this again.

I put my resume in a job searchung web, but applying to other fields that I didnt need my RN licence such as health Coordinator. One of then offered me a job ut the pay was minimum and the times did not work with me. The second one , well after going to 3 interviews. I didnt get the job. I kinda didnt want it either. One it was too far and 2 it just wasnt for me.

So after my job searching failed I descided I needed a review. Since my husband has been holding the bills down by himself , I ddi not want to burden him with a costly review. So I sought my mother. She paid $275 for Hurst. Oved the videos , filled in the sheets, took 2 weeks in them .

So when I was finished my review I began studying from them like Marlene says to do. But again slowly. Until I got an email from a recruiter suggesting a job. I accepted not knowing it was a RN job. Went to the interview, killed it, and was offered the job on the spot.Decided I had at least 2 weeks to study as much as I can.

I shut everything off in my life. No TV, no cooking , no sex (well sometimes ...great reduction) , no weekend out, nothing. Day and night studying. Last 3 days decided to purchase Uworld $60 ....loved that app. My hurst reviews stated from getting a 42% to getting a 52% in my last test in 2 weeks. Uworld helped a lot. Question are harder and the rationale are awesome. Absolutely loved Uworld. Well there Instarted with 49% and highest score was 59% .

Now, I am here in the waiting game . praying , hoping, pleading to have passed this time. I just want to start working. My bills are just piling up. And I feel bad. I have always been a great worker, , but NClex has kicked my butt so hard. God know I have doubts . My score werent the best but I know that I wasnt as lost in this test as I was in other test. I gave it my all. Now its in Gods handS. please pray for me.

Now for this job I have waiting. Im just waiting to see if I pass to tell them , that I have everything but I just need to wait for my licence. Ill keep you updated if I passed. And how long it takes for BON of NY to post it online. If I pass again.
