In the interview they will not be testing you, they will be looking to see if they think you can fit in on the unit, that your appear to be a responsible person who will come to work on time etc, and that you can learn. They will be looking for things that might get in the way of work (like you are the sole caregiver for your Dad with Alzeheimers or what ever). They might ask why you chose tele...probably good to have an answer prepared such as, "I did a rotation on tele and found it interesting" or, "I've always been interested in cardiac care, and feel tele is a good place to start my career..."
The interview is not an exam...its more of a chance for the manager to meet you, and also a chance for you to check out the unit. I've definitely walked out of a few interviews thinking, "I'll never work there!!!" So have your questions prepared as well, about patient ratios, orientation, typical types of patients (yes they need tele, but wh), floating to other places, etc)
Good Luck, I am sure you will do great!!
thank you katiebell.. i had my interview today and they offered me the job... woohooo... i finally have a job... you were right... just basic questions.. it's not like a quiz... :) thanks again..
AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!
