Has anyone else noticed the mess ups in the mathematics section of the book? I was studying lady night and doing the example problems. I couldn't understand what they were doing. In the steps of the problem it talked about evaluating the exponent but there was no exponent. Apparently in this book, they have the exponents written as regular numbers. For example it had the number 42 and in the problem said to evaluate the exponent so that it was 16. The only way that would work was if it was supposed to be 4 to the 2nd power. But it was written as 42. I have found four problems that do this. How am I supposed to study this if I can't tell which numbers are actually exponents? Did anyone else's books do this? Or do I have a defective edition?
