I AM SO HAPPY!

Of course I don't find out if I get accepted until early June, but I am so relieved that I can stop looking at this damn ATI book finally.

I have high hopes that I will be accepted with my score and the other determining factors.

Wish me luck!

I will be spending my evening with an extra large, celebratory margarita and potentially burning the ATI book :yes:

That's great! :cat: Congrats. How do you keep practicing? I mean for the practice test, because I am done with the McGraw hill, ATI manual practice test (back of the book) and also bought one from ATI website. Now I need more practice tests but I can't find it. I also used testprep but they don't have the whole test. It's like a sample test with few questions.

Well, I found it was less about repeatedly taking the test and more about knowing the material. I don't have any issues with running out of time and taking the practice tests are best for showing you what the test is like and your time limits, but doesn't necessarily teach you the material.

I focused a lot on the ATI book. There is also THIS page which directs you to an article on this site that breaks down what you need to know for the TEAS. I found it to be very helpful. I went down the list and highlighted the parts in my ATI book that it mentioned and spent my time focusing on those areas. Not everything on the list is in the test though, I think it just depends on what form you get. Also, if there are any parts in the ATI book you don't understand, Khan Academy is a great resource.

When I took mine the first time, the results came with a printout of the topics that were missed and what pages those topics are on in the ATI book (SUPER helpful). I took my first one and spent the next few weeks studying the areas that I missed and that helped me raise my science score significantly and my overall score. Not all schools do that, but if yours does, I suggest doing that!

Thank you :) That's really helpful.

question but first congrads !!! also the drink sounds like what I will do also. can you explain on what you studied and the score system here example English -83.4 was that your score ? and what were the national and program averages for was this a guide on scoring?

Hmmm I'm not entirely sure what you're asking.

83.3% was my overall score on the English section, but there were 3 sub-sections scored within it (Grammar and Word Meanings in Context, Spelling and Punctuation, and Structure). All 4 sections of the TEAS are scored separately, but they are also all scored together for your total overall score (for me was 82%).

The national and program averages are not necessarily a guide on scoring, but they're good to see how you're comparing to the nation and to the program. In my case, the program averaged a little higher than the national average in the 64% range. The national and program averages really don't mean anything, but they are nice to review and see how you're doing compared to the national TEAS test-takers.

As for what I studied...

It was mainly the ATI Study Manual. I did have to dig a little deeper online for some of the science stuff. Aside from APHY, the last science class I took was in high school about 5 years ago so some of the material was a little foreign to me. For more in-depth science information I used Khan Academy but they can get a little too in-depth.
