Hello everyone, I just want to know about the math portion of the Teas 5. Are the
questions multiple choice or fill in? Is there alot of graphs, algebra? I'm taking it this Winter and I want to study as much as possible.

If you get the ATI book, the math portion is straight from the book. Everything you need to know is covered in their study guide. Take the practice tests to get familiar with the style of questions.
I would look into some things a little further like charts and graphs. Know when to use them for what type of data.
Memorize the Roman numerals (some easy points... I did not do this...wish I would have).
Word problems like you go to the store and buy this, this, and this. How much tax will you have to pay?
Fractions!!!!
Ratios
Percentage
Metric conversions
Basic algebra
If you study, do all the problems in the book and understand the concepts...you will do fine on Math section. Now, Science is a different story. Many things on the exam were NOT in the study guide. You can see my post here if you want: https://allnurses.com/teas-exam-help/teas-v-questions-658187.html
Good luck!

Just to add to the comment above I would also focus on these items as well. Also remember you will not be able to use a calculator on the test. So make sure you can solve everything by hand.
-Adding, Subtracting, Multiplying and Dividing Fractions
-Solve word problems involving ratios, proportions, and rate of change
-Solve equations with one unknown ex. Solve: 3x + 5 = 2X - 3
I have been studying for a while and will be taking the exam in the fall.
Good luck on the test. :)

Some of it is straight from the book. But there are some surprises on there, like basic Geometry, probability, and work rate problems.
Thanks everyone! I really apreciate all the input. I'm getting the study guide this week!! :)
