TEAS exam question.

What's the lowdown? How many questions are on this test? My school allows 3.5 hours to take it. I've been taking practice tests from the TEAS company's study guide and it seems many of the science questions are harder than those that were on the tests from my classes (alas, I don't know if I'm stupid, poorly educated or both;)). If anyone used a similar study guide were the questions on the actual TEAS exam "easier" than those from the study guide?

I just took the TEAS on July 28th. The test is in 4 sections: Reading, 40 questions, 50 minutes. Math, 45 questions, 56 minutes (no calculator allowed). Science, 30 questions, 38 minutes. English, 55 questions, 65 minutes. I felt that the questions in the book for Reading and English were comparable to the actual test. The science and the math were a bit more difficult in the book than on the test. (When I did the science questions, if I didn't know the answer I googled/wikied the topic and read all I could find. I think I actually learned some stuff!!) The online practice tests get the same review. I got 86% on the practice test but 90% on the actual exam.

Well that certainly puts my mind at ease. Like most people the science section is giving me the most worries but the fact that it's the shortest helps.

I totally agree. I take it on the 20th and I am not all the way through it yet which is stressing me out. How bout that hypertonic question? I know hypo/hyper tonic solutions soooo well but the way they worded it made me get it wrong because a is hypertonic to b although it is a hypotonic solution. idk. im going to go do some more

i got anywhere from 50% to 80% when doing the practice questions in the study guide, an 82% on the online practice test & a 95% on the real test. the real test is DEFINITELY easier than the study guide & the practice tests, but the study guide helped a lot, i think.

I missed that one too! :o But it taught me that I really needed to slow down enough to read the questions so I didn't make that kind of mistake again. :trout:
