team nursing

Hi, i'm currently studying nursing in Brisbane Australia and we have been asked to complete an assignment on 'team nursing'. This assignment is not as easy as it may seem.

I have searched all of the libraries and all of the relevent web sites and I still can't find anything useful.

When I do find something useful, the site is usually one that requires a subscription and payments, and being a student I am unable to access those sites. If you have any relevant information or know of good books, journals, or web sites it would be very much appriciated.

Emily have you checked the sticky threads at the top of the Australian Board, I am sure gweneth would have something there you can use.

I am currently working as a ANUM on an acute medical ward.

From personal experience, I have found that team nursing in practice just results in one person doing all the work, and the other running around covering for them.

When I do work allocations, I have on occasion, grouped a div 1 & div 2 together with a combined patient load, and the div 2 generally hate it, as they feel they do all the work and the div 1 just does the drugs.
