I am speaking to all Macon, Georgia nurses that work either in Coleseum or even the Medical Center. I need ro know what Tech schools they work with when they offer to further education for there nurses. I am a CNA and If I go to work for MCCG, I want to know if they work with either Macon State or the Tech college on Tech Drive in Macon. I just might want to further my education to be certified in EKG or Phebotomy.:paw:

Hi. I will move this question to the GA nurses forum, so you can have a better chance of talking to locals in Macon.
Thanks, by the way...I used to live in Florida!2 yrs ago as a matter of a fact. Ilived in Valrico, Brandon, Clearwater and Largo. I miss it during the winter season though. My question...may b u can answer! There is a position open at the Medical Center for Clinical Tech I and its for the Vascular Unit. I just need my certification as a CNA for this job so... I know I can do it. I worked in a hospital b4. I just wanna know what duties I would be doing there.

I work as an RRT at the Medical Center and I am not really sure if there is a particular school that they will send you to for further education. We do have tuition reembursement that might cover whatever classes you take, but it depends on if there is a need for it in the hospital. You could contact Human Resources to find that out.
Since you mentioned phlebotomy, the med does have its own phlebotomy school. You apply to it through HR like you would apply for a job. They pay you while you are going to school. They do not guarantee you a job but most do get a job here when they are finished. If you are offered a job, you are requred to accept.
Hope this helps some.
