Teacher needs work

I am a teacher but I want to go to nursing school in the next few years. I can't go yet, but I want to get some job experience in a hospital setting. What can I do with a BA in Spanish/psychology and Master's in teaching? I speak Spanish. Any advice? Thanks.

You could look into taking a course on becoming a unit secretary (work at the nurses' station taking care of paper work - such as processing new orders - among other things). I've seen courses on that some community college extension programs. There are also CNA courses that train you work as a nurse assistant - usually hygiene and vital signs and the like. Some nursing homes offer such training at a low fee hoping to hire those they train. You might check if any local agencies offer phlebotomy (blood drawing) training. Of course, check your local job market as well before undertaking any training if you are hoping to get a related job.

These jobs, however, won't pay the same as teaching - even substituting. If you can afford it and want to make the move to health care, then they are potential areas to start in.
