Tcc Vocational Nursing Program 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Hi all,I am trying to apply at Tarrant County College Vocational Nursing Program. The thing is that I made a c in A&P 1 for the second time and a b in A&P 2 . My hesi results were a 74, what are my chances in getting in the program?

From my knowledge Ap 2 isn't required , I also received a C in AP1 and I'm taking AP 2 this spring 2018, they have another class that is Psych which I have a B in. That helps your chance of selection, however I am a PCT and going to do that Track instead and test out a clinical! Make sure your immunizations are updated (Hep A ) I started my series already it's quite expensive! I am taking the Hesi Tomorrow and my goal is atleast a 90 in each section to better my selection ! I would take the Hesi over if I were you just to have a higher chance also....

I would retake that A&P 1 for a better grade. I have a C in that class and if possible in Spring 2018, I'm going to retake it. I talked to an advisor about the average HESI score applying. Mine was an 86.5 and she said that mines was an average but not necessarily competitive so she suggested to retake it again to move up a little higher. So definitely retake your HESI, aim for high 80's and above and aim for an A in your A&P I class. Good luck!

I just realized you said you took A&P I twice already. If you're going through TCC, they will only take the highest grade out of your first two attempts for that class. Since you received a C both times, that's the only grade they will take. Your best bet is retake the HESI and score high. Hope this helps.

I wonder how many applicants there are so far. It seems like the Fall 2017 post had more activity.

I really hope I get into school this semester because I was an alternate for the RN program last semester so I decided to get into LVN and do the bridge program. I have a B in A&P 1 and a 83 on the HESI...It seem like its taking them forever to tell us if we got accepted or not.

I called Cal on Monday because I was expecting to hear back on that day. He said since they received over 100 applicants, it's going to take them 3-4 weeks. I was so disappointed..

Oh my over 100 applicants? :/I applied this year as well and the wait is killing me. I'm really hoping to get in .. Good luck to you ladies!!

Check your email ladies, acceptance letters went out today!

Really? I haven't rec'd anything yet and I've been checking both my school email and personal. Do they inform you either way or only if accepted?

I believe they inform you either way but I could be wrong. The acceptance letter says we need to email our acceptance form back to his assistant Bashar by June 14th to secure our spot. Otherwise, the spot will go to the next person on the waiting list.

Well congrats on getting accepted:)!!! I'm feeling like they should email us either way. I'm going to give them a call and see what's what. Congrats again!!!
