Hi,

I am just getting all my course handbooks and stuff and looking at the readings that I have to do. Any suggestions on note taking? A lot of what I am reading is journal articles and articles out of books, I'd love to hear how others take notes?

Thanks!

Do you still have your Handbook for Writers from your English classes? If not look for one in the library. I've held on to mine since I took my English Comp classes some 10+ years ago and I can't tell you how many times I used it for reference on how to go about writing something.....There should be something in there to tell you how to approach articles. I would just try to extract the most important facts as I read along. Let's say you read and you normally would highlight something....instead of highlighting it write it on a notecard. Put the page # next to each note so that you can easily get back to it later.

I hope I made sense here......
