Taking nclex RN in about 8 weeks need help

I graduated nursing school yearly this year in January. But I also gave birth to my first child in March. Needless to say I haven't had much time to study the way I would like. But I need advice on the strategies that have helped others pass their nclex as well as caring for my 6 week old. I took Kaplan and hurst but I took them in February. I have Saunders comprehensive book (5th edition) and I've been reading that as well as answering questions, but I don't feel like that's enough. Please help

Hi there! congrats on graduating and welcoming your bundle of joy :)

thats good u took both classes, I wanted to take hurst but i already paid for kaplan and I didnt have $$ to pay for hurst. Anyway, 6 weeks is plenty of time for you and I know you can do this. It is VERY IMPORTANT to read the rationales on the questions you got wrong, even the right ones. Kaplan questions are on point with NCLEX type questions. The saunders questions are good too, but a lot of them I consider are below the passing level of NCLEX because they are a little bit easier. To be honest, don't go into NCLEX aiming to hit 75 and be done, thats what I did and I panicked though the whole 265 questions. You have to understand the next question you answer depends on you last answer. I noticed that I kept getting the same topic over and over and I guess its because NCLEX wants to know if I really do know that topic. It is very important to go over things you are not familiar with. I studied a lot of ekg's, chest tubes, cardiac, and psych because I keep getting them wrong on Kaplan so I tried to master them. However, I barely got any questions on them on the test! instead I kept getting questions about stuff I wasn't 100% familiar off.. those questions I got correct on Kaplan by guessing.. so it is also important to go over the questions you got correct because the rationales typically add more information about the topic.

Having a new baby must be harder for you to focus on studying, but I believe you can do this!
