Taking NCLEX next week

Howdy. I have not taken the nclex yet, but will be taking it soon. Good luck on your exam.

For myself, I like to assess my nursing skills, and make sure all of my points are above the passing line. The overall score is good, but I would make sure that there are no points that are below the passing mark. ATI gives focused reviews which tell you what areas are low.

Though your scores look good, look at the detail focus review and make sure you are above the line in every area.

Try another assessment test besides the Saunders.

Thank you. I was told by a nurse I work with that if you're scoring 60-65% correct, you're golden. So I think my score is pretty good but I'm still nervous. I do use other assessment tests, such as ATI and Sylvia Rayfield as I mentioned in my previous post. Thanks for your response and good luck to you as well.

You just want to make sure that you are above the line in all areas. It is possible to have a passing rate overall, but be below the level on some areas.

I know. And I am. What do you mean by above the line concepts? It's too late for me to do Kaplan and I don't really have the money for that anyway. I've known people that still failed with it. Saunders has gotten the best reviews for books out there and nurses I have spoken with all have used/recommended it, so I'm assuming it must be pretty good. Not to mention that its impossible to know everything. Lets just see what happens when we take it since neither of us knows exactly what to expect yet.

The assessment tests that are above the line are tests that tests for the upper level knowledge like on the nclex. Some tests do not test for above the line questions, they only cover content so just keep that in mind.

So they have these predictor tests that will tell you if you are ready, and what areas you are weak in. It is a passing score across the board not just overall.

I took a predictor test at the end of nursing school and scored a 91% chance of passing NCLEX on the first try, and I didn't study for it. Thanks for your help.
