Switching Between Programs... Really Need your opinions

Good Evening Dear Nurses and Fellow Students!

I have a question.

I m currently a1 st year student in Grant MacEwan Edmonton. I am 31 years old and I have a previous degree in Phys. Ed.

My plan was to complete my prerequisites for after degree program for U of A, and then go for it in the September 2018. I did not get in U of A on the first try because I was missing microbiology, but now I am taking (and almost finished) microbiology through Athabasca, and I also taking A&P through Athabasca as well.

However, I started questioning myself, it would worth to switch between universities because

I heard not such a good stuff about after degree program in U of A.

I also like MacEwan a lot. But from another side, if I decide to stay, it will be 15 months longer in school and I have kids, which mean would be nice to get a job sooner.

I would love to hear your opinion. Did someone did it and what was the experience?

Do employers prefer to hire U of A after degree or MacEwan graduates?

Which program would provide more job security (if I do well, of course?)

Thank you for all your input. Thank you for taking your time to answer.

If you have any advice or something to say - I would really appreciate it.
