I start next wk thru chamberlaine. I bought the statistics for dummys book. Any other tips? I have never taken any type of statistics class  before. Thanks :)

Consider looking locally for a tutor should you experience difficulties that can't be addressed expeditiously online. Start reading the material now. Do an internet search for study material. Don't wait until you are hopelessly behind to approach the instructor for assistance. Good luck.

The best advice I can give you is to attend the live lectures and to replay them as you work on the lab reports. Do the homework and make sure you meet the posting requirements on the discussion boards, don't blow any points there. It is a tough class, but it is possible to do well. I got an A and I'm not a math wiz. I just made sure to do things exactly as the professor told us too. Good luck!

I just finished it last quarter and I hadn't taken a serious math class since 2004. Somehow, I managed to pull off an A as well. It's definitely doable, but the hardest unit was probability and once I got over that, it was a lot better.

Check out cramster.com because it may have your textbook and show you step-by-step tutorials on how to do HW problems. It saved my life.

I took mine at Excelsior. It kicked my butt and I was thankful for a "C". The only math I can really do is Nursing math, (Thank you CPNE!!). I had a lot of help and just kept plugging. It transfers to ISU! That is where I am getting my BSN. After Patho exam I am starting my 2 years (yes, 2 years of Italian). I have tested out of 2/4 classes to start. Good Luck. Just DON"T GIVE UP!
