exactly, start saving now. unless you want to strictly depend on loans, which a lot of people do. but who knows what the economy will be like then. i hear of people having difficulty getting COA loans now. start putting money away now. work overtime, buy a crappy car, do what ever you have to do to save money, so you wont have to borrow much when you enter school.

thanks vey informative ill start saving

thanks again=]

Loan it out. Accept the fact that you'll be poorer for the next 28 mos but it is worth it. There are loans out there to get. Plus you'll want to go on vacations and stuff when you get the time off.

Try Wells Fargo and Sallie Mae for outside the cost of education loans.

Personally, I am preparing to tough it out without loans. I just made arrangements to move to a house a friend owns since he will accomodate me when that time comes. I explained it to him and he is into it - and I will make sure I make it worth his while when the anesthesia bucks come in (and happily). Put your mind to it and don't defeat yourself. I don't believe in paying interest and so it is a necessity to me to do it this way and I am sure that it will be very feasible.

This guy is smart. And when he's making 200K+ a year his money won't ruin him.

I am saving right now as well, paying off student loans, working OT and weekend nights, eating ramond noodles as often as I did in school. And unless all the sick people go away then my job will pay for all my loans, CNRA school, and living expenses all IN CASH by the time I worked my 2 whatever years to have enough experience to apply to CRNA school.

Do a little math and spend less than you make right now.

I've heard of people finding hospitals or anesthesia groups to pay for their loans and/or give them money during school. Has anyone else heard of this?

Just some advice- You'll fill out the FAFSA then:

You'll either get subsidized or unsubsidized federal loans (deferrable) up to 20, 500.

Then, you can get a private loan or a grad plus loan to pay up to the COA provided by the school (cost of attendance).

Many people in the past have gotten direct to borrower private student loans (not certified by school- school doesn't know about it so it is above COA). Here lately, I have been unable to find any student loans that aren't certified through the school and/or based on COA. Sallie Mae at this time doesn't have one. I checked their site. Wells Fargo MIGHT if you qualify. You best try to get this before you quit work b/c it r/t to your credit history and salary. Hopefully more will come available soon...its looking pretty bad though. You shouldn't have any prob getting your loan to cover COA and living expenses are listed in this via the school. You're next question though- is this enough to live on for the semester?

Since I am not the most discipline person when it comes to saving money. I had to make some sacrifices. I work about 60 to 70 hours a week, and I put about $2000 a month away in my credit union. I took a part time job, and my husband and I pretends that the checks from the part time job does not exist. So far, it has been helpful. It's not easy, but it can be done.
