Super Excited!!!

I am returning to the bedside after 2 years! I have as of late been working with my hospital system to help install an EMR. I like training and teaching, but I have missed the bedside, EVERY DAY! I am lucky enough to be returning to the unit I left, working for the same manager, who is a peach.

My goal is to be able to sit for the CCRN after a year. It feels like a really great dream. So why did I leave? Long story short, I am a geeky nurse who loves computers, and teaching, and I was flattered into taking this trainer gig. Infomatics is a great field, and if you're burned out it could be awesome. Just be sure you are really ready to leave the bedside. I wasn't.

Thank God, I wsa given the opportunity to return to my first love!

Anyone who has returned to the bedside and has any advice for me making this transition, I am all ears!

Wish me luck!
