Hey Everyone,
So I just finished school for this year and I am currently looking for a job. What I wanted to know from everyone is what kind of job do you suggest I apply for that will also look good when I apply to nursing programs?
I know volunteering for inpatient care would be a good start, but I also need the money. I have no experience in healthcare whatsoever. Are there any healthcare related jobs that do not require experience? Some jobs people have told me about are home health aides and CNAs, but if I think they need certification.
Thanks everyone.

Check job listings for your local hospitals, lots of times they will hire you for a PCA or NA position with no prior experience as long as you are in nursing school.
The problem is that I am not currently in nursing school. Will I still be able to find a job as a PCA or NA? I need some kind of part time job to make money, but preferably want a job that exposes me to the healthcare/nursing environment.
Anyone else have any tips and suggestions?

I am interviewing for a Health Unit Coordinator today, some places call them Unit Secretary, I am hopeful that I will get this. It is only 16 hours a week, but I feel this will be plenty once school starts in the Fall.
I'm in the same boat, I've been applying for different nursing support jobs but haven't heard back on any of them. (I'm not technically in nursing school either, I'm done pre reqs but don't start nursing 1 until september.) I've been told if I don't get hired now to apply again after I'm done one semester of clinicals. Of course if you have office experience you could always apply for unit secretary.
