Studying tips for summer school

Normally, I wouldn't advise anyone to take more than two summer courses sure to the accelerated pace and workload...

However, you need to become really great at time management. Carve out times where you can best study for each class. You may not get to hang out with your friend or family as much in this period. I take one summer class that meets 4 times weekly and even that's enough! I don't get to do as much as I would like because I'm studying.

Take great notes in class. Stay ahead of the syllabus (this has helped me... I have an A in the class while most are struggling). Speak with your professors. I find that if they know you're trying and know your face, they will be at least somewhat flexible.

No, I didn't mean that you *can't* do it. Some people can and do well. I just don't generally recommend it. I hope you absolutely ace all of those classes.

On that note, your teacher has every right (for a summer class) to treat their class as if it is the only class. My first class (6 weeks) ends in two weeks; then I start up a four-day-a-week on campus chemistry class (lecture 4 days, lab 2 days) where I already know that that six weeks will be my life (so to write).

While I've done summers with three classes, they are hard; and not all classes will mix well over the summer. When they don't mix, drop what you can drop, and continue on with the one or two left.

I can't drop any of my classes so I have to make them all mix together lol. All I can do is do my best and make them work. I just have to manage my study times.
