Studying

Published

Hi! I am a current Nursing student and wanted to ask all of you who have actually completed school- How did you study??? It has been a while since I was in school and I know that studying for Nursing classes is much different than studying for other classes. what were some of your study habits?

I took a pathophysiology class the last quarter I was in school and did not do too well because I didnt know how to study. We had to learn all the processes of the body and that info doesnt fit on a notecard! Any suggestions???

Thanks!

I finally found a good system in my last semester of nursing school. I recorded the lectures. I am NOT an auditory learner so I would tune out the teacher after about an hour of lecture. When I listened again in shorter segments I really could pick up on things they emphasized (which would tend to be on the exam) I could listen to one section, then read that in my book, redo notes, etc. It was like my teacher was teaching it to me bit by bit. I like to read the book so this helped me coincide the material. Pulled an A that semester! :)

Thank you for that! I actually have a recorder that I have never used. I will try that this upcoming quarter. I have to re take that class. Thanks again!!!
