Studying for NCLEX

Hi all,

I need an input from those who passed the NCLEX-RN the first time. How did you prepare/study for the NCLEX and how much time did you reserve before taking the exam? Right now, I'm unsure of how to prepare for this critical exam. I have about a month before my test date... should I go & review nursing contents first or just start answering NCLEX review questions? I have Saunders & Kaplan sources and I went over the contents of the books.... which made me feel so overwhelmed with info. I feel like I have to know all the info. to be able to answer most of the questions in the NCLEX exam. Please advise. Thanks!

I did about 200 q's a day and reviewed any material I wasn't sure of. I didn't do any review classes either, although I did utilize medspub.com that was offered through my school which was a good resource. I had 75 q's on the Nclex and passed the first time. Good luck!

I didn't pay for any review classes either. I took 2 months to study. The first few weeks I reviewed any manterial I wasn't confident in..or anything I scored low in during classes. Then I just answered questions constantly. I loved Saunders CD NCLEX review. (it comes with the NCLEX review book) I also bought Mosby study cards to take with me EVERYWHERE. Family gatherings, to the park with my kids, in the truck when my dh drove etc...

I passed with 75 questions first time.
