Study Burnout

I'm preparing for my NCLEX for July 10th, and started reviewing about 3 weeks ago, and I have 2 weeks left.

I started with saunders, and stopped using it because it was too long. Then I switched to ATI comprehensive review book (250 pages) and I am still struggling to go through the book without getting burned out/bored after about 20 pages.

I am also using Kaplan Q bank and the LaCharity book, which with those I have no issue going through the tests after I take them to review. (My Qbank score is 62% with 59% questions done)

Anyone else have this problem??? And any tips to make studying easier?? Also how long are people studying per day?

---Maybe I'm spending too much time. I usually wake up and do all my test taking (about 2 hours), take a break, review rationales for an hour, then break, and then start to do content review which easily can take me 2 and a half hours to do 20 pages.....

Yeah, when I reviewed content with Saunders Comprehensive Review for NCLEX-RN (yellow book, 5th edition), it was taking me a long time to read it too. I would do one system per day and that was enough for me. I did that for a month and only covered Med-surg and Pediatrics. I did not do Maternity.

I am studying for 5-8 hours a day. I usually do my quizlet flashcards lab values to start off my studying then move onto doing 2 chapters in Prioritization, Delegation and Assignment (as known as PDA) 2e by Linda LaCharity. Next, I review rationales for all questions from PDA. Then, I move onto doing a Kaplan Question Trainer then eventually review Hurst material. Sometimes, I do some questions on NCLEX-4000 towards the end of my night.

I found the Saunders book to be too long and drawn out as well. I feel like there's no way you can relearn everything from nursing school in preparationor the nclex. Esp not 5 weeks. Do the end of halter tests and review your rationales. But if suggest hurst or ncsbn for content review. I only got 7 chapters into the 77 before o gave up on it
