Student living

Nursing Students SRNA

How does an adult student survive while in the program? How do they get money to pay the bills of every day life?

To be a CRNA would be AMAZING(!!!), but I just don't see how it's possible to be unemployed for that amount of time. Please help me understand. Thanks.

Student loans and private loans. Lots of loans. Some people also sign contracts with anesthesia groups that will pay a stipend while you are in school and/or pay off student loans upon graduation. There are many ways to do it.

Primarily, the most important thing is to try to get as much as possible paid off before hand so that you can survive on as little as possible (to be able to borrow as little as possible). There are guaranteed federal loans and the schools allow students to borrow some money for the cost of living - but for most people it is not enough to pay all their bills so private loans are also needed.

Thanks for the info. I'm new to the healthcare scene. Not really even "new" yet actually. I'll start taking classes to knock out my pre-reqs for nursing begining next month. I have no idea how the whole "adult student" thing works. Haha!

Student loans...it helps to have a spouse with a decent income...budget...you have to suck it up for a couple of years, but it should be worth it. Try to save as much as you can prior to school to cut down on loans.
