Straighterline courses as prereqs

Hey guys,

I'm a longtime lurker, finally posting! I have a question for you all here. I've already submitted a contact form with Straighterline, but they aren't getting back to me and I'd really like to hear about first-hand experiences :geek:

I'll do a tl;dr in bullets:

  • Need to take Microbiology with Lab before Dec 31st
  • Looked at online colleges (Edukan, Ocean, UNE), Straighterline is the best deal and self-paced
  • My question is: is there any way to take a Straighterline course and have it transferred to a partner university without having to take any classes at that university?

Has anyone had any experience doing something like this?

Bonus questions: Straighterline experiences? Online microbio with lab experiences?

Thanks so so much!

I would do Edukan. The community colleges they partner with are regionally accredited which should transfer to other colleges.

Also, the lab for Edukan is virtual so you don't need to purchase other materials unlike Straighterline.

Thank you for the response, and I am in complete agreement with you-- I just decided to go with Edukan earlier today!

Have you had good experiences with them?

Very good experience. Wish I had known about them earlier.

Great to hear! It's also nice to hear personal accounts, as I'll be paying by phone later today, which feels a bit sketchy to me.

May I ask which courses you took through them? And which college did you choose?
