Anyone working at Stony Lodge Hosp? Would appreciate any feedback you may have on what it is like to work there. Staffing? Salary? Thanks.

I worked there about 10 years ago and wasn't thrilled with it then. It was poorly staffed and the staff they had were not well qualified. And the place was run down but I would hope that things have changed after 10 years!! A friend of mine just had an interview there last week and I believe they offered her 30.00/hr as a new grad. Good Luck!!

Thanks for the information. Are there any other facilities in the area that you would/would not recommend? Just wondering, did your friend accept the position at Stony Lodge?

Hi Cmmny

Just wondering - did your friend accept the position. If so, is she liking it so far? Thinking of applying but since I'm new to Psych would like to get some feedback about this facility first. Hoping that things have gotten better since you've been there. How long did you stay?

Thanks!

Nurse JJ09-

My friend did not take the position due to commuting issues. I would hope that things are different there now also, for the better! It doesn't hurt to apply and go an interview...ask lots of questions and ask them to take you on a tour. If you like psych you will get some experience and then you can always move on. I didn't stay there long..about 3 months. Good Luck!!

Thanks for the reply. Do you know if Four Winds is a better facility? Are you currently working in psych? If you have heard any positive feedback about local facilities, I'd love to hear from you. I'm new to psych so I don't want to be turned off to the field by choosing the wrong place to start.

Is 13 patients a lot, or normal fare for those in the Psych world?
