Sterile Processing Educator

Has anyone had experience as a sterile processing department educator? There is an opening at my facility. I do have experience as a nurse educator in the operating room at another facility, but SPS is a whole different world. Any thoughts or tips? Thanks in advance!

    I have worked in SPS/SPD over the years out of necessity when we had only 1 technician for the department. I've kept up with the knowledge, which helps me train new OR staff on IUSS and helps me fill the SPS educator role. You can learn the meat of the role if willing and use your OR knowledge to build bridges between the two departments. Go for it!
