Steps to take -- HELP!

I really want to begin the steps needed to become a nurse. I don't know anyone who has done this and I don't know what steps to take, what do I do first? I live near Chatahooche Tech so I would probably go there or actually I'd love online courses. Can anyone help me with this?? Thank you so much in advance. Im really wanting to get started!! Im a single mom, 34 yrs old & unemployed.

I have a high school diploma. I never took SATs or anything. I want this more than anything.... I just dont know how to begin the process.

I would say that you should go ahead and apply to Chattahoochee Tech and they can tell you everything that you will need to have as far as testing and such. The financial aid office can give you information on the HOPE scholarship and any other financial aid available to you. It should be easy for you to get started since you don't have to worry about transferring college credits from another school. I also think that if you go online to the school's website, there is a person who you can chat with online that can help you get started as well. I hope this info helps. Welcome.:wink2:

Probably the best place to start is to go by Chatt. Tech and ask to speak to someone in admissions. They can give you all the info you'll need to get accepted by the school, tution/financial aid stuff, what you'll need by way of prereqs, and what kind of programs they're offering. I believe they're starting an RN program, but I'm not sure what type of classes you need to have or when the deadlines are. Good luck!

Thanks so much for your advice. I talked to Chatt Tech and they told me the deadline for application is nov. 21.... im getting everything started! :D
