Often night shift 7p-7a and every other/every third weekend, every other holiday. But it varies by region and facility needs

I worked with the same hospital system and it still varies from hospital to hospital and unit by unit all within the same system. Some specialties only offer 8 hours (like OR and L&D) while others 12s. Some units require their employees to work every other weekend like I did at my previous unit but when I transferred to a different unit, they required only a few amount of weekends per pay period because we have dedicated nurses who work weekends only.
As far as holidays, we get to choose which 2 major and 2 minor holidays we want to work. Go to a different unit at the same hospital and it's different.

I'm orienting in the ED on 8s and 12s on days because my preceptor is, but I will be moving to nights and every other weekend by the end of it. It depends on unit and hospital needs, but its quite common to be on nights as a new grad. Holidays we don't have to deal with while on orientation, but once off we get put in the rotation with everyone else.
