Starting over! ;(

Just recently failed my nclex RN exam

I will never give up, this is the last test i need to become an RN finally, I graduated from the Philippines in 2008 and I paid already just to retake.

Can someone post stuff that helped them during their exam, i know i have test takers anxiety bad...

Another question I might be signing up for the Kaplan Qbank do you guys suggest this and is it guaranteed that I pass? What if i fail again will i get my money back can someone let me know??

I graduated from the Philippines also, last 2009, i took NCLEX last week of Dec. I did Kaplan review and i would say, they are good. They are very good in prioritization and delegation. Study the rationale in every question, that will help you a lot. Good luck!

Great I think that's what i need help in actually, because on my test it shut off at 75 unfortunately ... And I had alot of prioritization and delegation thanks for the info i hope i can make it this time, i will really buckle down hard i need to make this..

do you know if i do fail again i would get a full refund or?

don't give up!!! you can do it!

if you have many questions of prioritization and delegation i recommend the book by lacharity called prioritization, delegation, and assignment i bought mine off of amazon. i failed my first time and am preparing for my second attempt here soon. i have been doing qbank questions and my theory is yes i think they do help alot. i have found in alot of books that the questions are mostly content based but kaplan has alot of critical thinking level questions. i know it is expensive and i think they charge too much so it is up to you. if you do decide to go with kaplan course the review of question videos have helped me a ton! i know they are lengthy but she really breaks down how to answer the questions and after watching so many the technique is engraved into my brain! if kaplan is not a choice, there is a kaplan strategies, practice, & review book that has some practice questions & cd to it that i would recommend. the other thing is since i only had access to the qbank questions i purchased the kaplan course book online through amazon too and it was only $11.99. this is the book that kaplan provides if you purchase the course. i read somewhere this book is a straight-to-the-point review of content essential to know. i should be receiving it in the mail any day now so i don't know how good it is yet. i bought saunders comprehensive review book and while it is very detailed, it is very lengthy and the review questions are mostly application (content) type questions.

as for your question about the full refund, this is off the kaplan site, "

if you are a graduate of an nln or ccne-accredited nursing program taking the exam for the first time within 6 months of graduation and do not pass the nclex-rn

®

exam, you are entitled to either a 100% tuition refund

or

a free 3-month continuation of your enrollment."

on kaptest.com once you navigate to the nclex-rn if you click on find a free event there are free online seminars you can sign up for!!! here are the ones that showed up for me (i just typed in my zip-code), keep checking back b/c i know there is one on critical thinking as well.

i hope this helps!! overall in my opinion if you are going to pay for the qbank i would spend around $100 more to get the kaplan on demand b/c then you can watch the content review videos and class questions, which i find helpful!

i haven't passed yet so hopefully it pays off!

can we become study buddy even though at net since we are all retakers? im planning to retake it this feb as soon as my att comes out.

Thanks for the info, I wish you best of luck with your test im sure you will make it, i hope i can say the same hehheheh. Kaplan Qbank looks really good but im not sure if i want to pay it..... I am kinda sad since i didn't graduate here in the US I am not able to get the refund..

keep in touch and share stuff here with me if you dont mind on what you think will help you pass. Were in this same boat and im sure we will make it...

Same here I am just waiting for my ATT again....

And I think that if we can help each other we can make this test....

keep in touch, best of luck with your studies...
