Starting Ohlone Fall 2010/Spring 2011

Hello all,

The boards have been a bit quiet since Ohlone sent out their acceptance/wait list emails in April. I'd like to get to know anyone who will be starting Ohlone in the Fall or Spring. I'm #10 on their wait list and waiting in agony until January, not knowing if I've moved up on the list at all.

I'd like to get a head start on the reading, but the bookstore does not have Fall 2010 books posted on their website yet.

What are you doing to prepare for nursing school at Ohlone this summer?

    I was accepted for Spring 2011 - I agree, it's been very quiet here since emails went out.

    I'll admit, I haven't been doing much in terms of preparation so far - all my prereqs are done, so other than reviewing anat/phys, I have just been enjoying what is probably the last moments of free time I'll have after Jan! :)

    Good luck on getting in - I haven't heard anything about being bumped up to Fall yet, so I don't know where the list currently stands...then again, I was #34, so didn't really anticipate being moved up to Fall.

    I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! :)

    I took a success strategies in nursing school class at College of San Mateo a couple weeks ago. It scared me a bit--almost thinking 6 months isn't enough time to prepare. I'm taking a pathophysiology class online right now and it is tough. Hopefully it'll be good prep for Med Surg. I'm also planning on taking a pharmacology class through Foothill in the Fall. I bought an app that is flash cards of the top 200 drugs...amazing what a hard time I'm having memorizing all the names.
