I have been considering a nursing career for little while. Finding out I was pregnant set back my schooling plans. I am thinking I would like to work in a birthing center, as a nurse midwife or OB RN or LVN. Any ideas or advice?

If you haven't already done so.....visit the school's nursing department and get the 411 about the program. You will more than likely have to take pre-reqs and/or entrance exams.

What route did you plan on going: Diploma, ADN, BSN?

Good luck to you. :)

I was talking recently to a girl who was a nurse and she recommended a get my 4 yr degree. I have registered at the community college and will finish taking prereqs to transfer to a more "prestigious" program. Can anyone recommend a Southern California universities' nursing program? What have you heard about USC, SDSU, UCSD's nursing program?
