1st I fail

Please help me! I can't describe how my feeling:cry:......

I received my result in the mail from board. 7 near passing,1 below(safety&infection control ).

I am just wondering. How do I prepare in studying for NEXT (I did online complete course,Saunders,a part of 3500,etc)? Any suggestions of how to study? I don't want to fail again. Thank you:bow:!!

At what number did your question end? You almost made it with 7 near passing and only 1 below. Although I dont know what my feelings if I were in your shoes but dont loose hope. Try again because I know you have the knowledge but your time didn't come yet. :saint:

CHEER UP!:coollook:

Don't feel so hard on yourself Lucky......I know exactly how you feel. I've taken the Nclex twice already and have yet to pass. The first time I took it, I got the same results as you did: All near passings except one below passing. I ended up doing the whole 265 questions. At first, I kinda brushed it off, telling myself that I did fairly well for not passing. I mean, getting all 265 meant that I was fairly close to passing. Yet, when I took it the second time, I couldn't believe that I ended up doing worst than I did the first time (The computer shutdown after 75)! My advice to you is to remain consistent. As I look back and compare how I took both those exams, I realized that I didn't study as hard for the second exam than I did the first. I had the notion that I was only "adding on" to the knowledge base that I had gained from preparing for the first exam; not a good move on my part.

A lot of posts on this site mention using "Suzanne's Plan", so I would suggest looking into that. What I've done mostly to prepare for the next time I take it was to do as much practice questions as I can. Not only does it let you know what areas you lack in, it also helps you understand how to answer the question. Write down notes to questions you got wrong so you can read up on it later on. Most importantly, DON'T GIVE UP! :D

Consider Suzanne's Plan, also on The Random facts sticky and Infection Control threads you'll find good facts and tips. Good luck!

:hngon:Hang in there. You can do this.

dont lose hope.. study more.. i know how you feel..
