I have been accepted into the VN program at SRJC for Spring 2012, and am looking for others that will be in my class. I feel it may be beneficial to discuss the pre-admission requirements with another student, two brains are better than one! Any one? Thank you :)

Hi, I too am starting the LVN program at SRJC this Spring. I am nervous but excited. It is hard to focus on my upcoming finals because my mind drifts to preparing for the LPN program... "how can I get ahead???" Luckily I already took the pharm class so I don't have to worry about that. You doing anything to prep yourself?
Hi Brent. I borrowed Fundamentals of Nursing from one of the panel at our orientation, and I intend on reading a few chapters ahead before class starts (after finals). Good job on taking the pharm class ahead of time! Do you plan on working during the program? I am nervous too, and sure am grateful for my faith! Thanks for the reply. It's tomorrow that we can register for the remaining "over 15" units, right?
Yes today is the day to register for more units. Are you the single mom from the orientation? I thought I saw a single mom borrow a book at the orientation. I'm the shaved head white guy. I emailed Elisa and got the normal lab values to study. I will also study the Maslowes hierarchy, I've been reading on this site what a big deal that is. I won't be working while in the program... If all goes well. I too rely on my faith, it got me in the program and it will get me through it.
Yes, I'm the single mom you saw borrow the book. That's a good idea to study the normal lab values, too. Can you forward them, if it's convenient? If not, I too can email Elisa. Maslow's Hierarchy and nursing diagnoses... soon we will be breathing that I have a feeling! Feeling a little like the calm before the storm... and encouraged to share faith with a colleague. Thank you, Brent!
