SPC Nursing Fall 2017

Hello all,

I've been tracking this website for a while and I figured I'd make an account! I'm currently in my last semester here at SPC, and I will be applying in May for Fall. I'd like to see other students post and see how far along, or if on their last semester as well. Currently at CUM 4.0, and taking (Micro & Lab, Stats, and Ethics)

Congrats i keep seeing all these 4.0 gpa's i have a 3.76 so im completely crossing my fingers right now. I should have had a 4.0 but life happens. I already put my application in! now waiting 4 months!

Is the application fairly simple to put in, can you do a mini-walk through? :artist:

Its pretty simple. Its basic info about you your years of residency in the county you live and high school.. address, your college any degree you may have. Some basic info like birthday gender.. nothing crazy. Someone mentioned to me today they may start interviewing for positions because there have been some negative situations appearing.. i'm not sure how true it is i did not hear that from a source within the program...

I also wanted to say you can apply now even though your waiting for the end of this semester because they don't pull any applications until after grades are in. I was told that by an advisor on the health education campus.:up:

What kind of negative situations?

and okay.

Basically misconduct from a 4.0 student.. once again i do not know how credible that source is.

I applied yesterday at the HEC. Advisor told me the same, to go ahead and apply because they don't pull until after grades post. I also applied for a scholarship, there's three right now over there for nursing. I'm sitting at a 96 in micro lecture, 92 in micro lab, stats 95, and ethics 100.

We shall see

Congrats!! Were almost to the starting point! Lol

HI, this is a student who would like to apply for fall 2018. i have a currently GPA 3.6 and if i get all A for the rest of my pre-reds i will get a 3.7 at the end plus i am a Bay-care employee. i am so nervous about my pathway right now. Cuz i have Cs in my transcript and i do not know if they only look at your GPA or they look at ABCs. I have A&P 2 and lab, Mic-bio and lab, HUM and Ethics left over .

As a Baycare employee you are eligible for the EAYL, as well as, the grant program after six months with Baycare.

You should persue this route. If you apply through Baycare you will be in a smaller pool of applicants. Also, you sit in front of a panel and they decide if they want to say yes. It's not as much GPA for the Baycare Nursing Program, as it is a general holistical analysis of the applicant. In exchange for paying for your Nursing school you are required to work for them for two years after completion. If you choose SPC it is very competitive, with 90 slots and over 600 applicants. (45 for day, 45 for night). A GPA of 3.75, as well as, Pinellas County Residency are given preference.
