Southeastern TEAS test

Published

I'm so nervous I registered today to take the teas exam on Saturday I have no time to study.. Is it really as hard as everyone says?? Can people tell me what its about please??

Hey there...

I don't personally think it's that difficult of a test. Just try not to stress yourself out about it. Take your time to read the

questions. Also remember to use the time that you're given for each section. No reason to rush through it and still have

time left on the clock.

There are 4 parts. Reading and comprehension, math and science.

Each school has their own requirements that you have to meet.

Best of luck to you and remember to breath and be confident in yourself!

Thank you but did you study for it?

I studied a bit for the math portion. I've never been that great at math, so I brushed up a bit.

I went to Southeastern for my LPN, graduated in 08. I bought the teas test study guide but only really went over the math portion of it. I ended up doing really well which surprised me. Each section of the test is graded individually and then they come up with a composite score. I did lousy in the science portion but I think that they focus on the english and math sections more than anything when selecting potential candidates. After you take your test, providing you do well enough they call you for a interview. The director of the program does the interviewing. During the interview we went over my transcripts and things like that. When you go to the interview dress nicely, show your enthusiasm, tell her how hard your willing to work to become a nurse (because the program is NOT easy.) She is looking for people who are going to work hard and graduate. Your success is her success. She wants to be sure you have good support at home, and that you going to give the program your all.

I hope this helps, Also, like I said the program is demanding, you will have to study alot but you will be so thankful when you graduate. Southeastern has a reputation of being a really hard program, which will benefit you when you start to practice as a LPN.

Good Luck to you
