So scared of failing

darling everyone felt like that. As long as you have perseverance then you will be fine. It is mostly a juggling act. learning how to budget your time and find the best possible way to study for you. The classes aren't that they are mostly hard to understand, it is just that you get sssoooo much thrown at you at the same time to learn that gets hard. As long as you just keep trying your best you will be fine. It isn't any harder than a and p. I think those two classes were harder!

Don't waste your emotional energy on fears of failure. Rather, invest your energy in visualizing yourself succeeding and then doing those things that it takes to succeed.

As stated by the prior poster, the coursework in nursing school isn't particularly difficult conceptually. The challenge is the unrelenting pace at which it comes.

Each quarter, thousands of students graduate from nursing school. Odds are that if they can, it's likely that you can too.

Try to relax... stressing yourself out is the worst thing you can do.

For now, I'd suggest getting a headstart by starting a preview of pharmacology and physiology.

Of course you are scared...it's you dream job. But your fear will keep you on your toes. If classes are too much, then adapt to it. If you are failing behind, seek academic assistance. Just do what you have to do. Remember that it is their job to prepare you. They will give you all the tools and information that you need to pass. Just make sure you don't fill yourself with self-doubt. Keep your eyes on the goal. If you fail at something, dust yourself off and try again. Just keep moving forward and you'll get there.

Don't be afraid before you even start. You have no idea how hard it will actually be for you. For all you know it will be a lot easier than you think, so you are wasting your energy getting so worried about it. I am in my first year of nursing school and I start clinicals next semester and I was freaking out about it just a few weeks ago, but then I realized: If other people can get through it, why wouldn't I be able to? What makes me any less intelligent than they are: Nothing. I can do it, and you will be able to do it also. Take it one step at a time, you'll get there like everyone else.

I agree! Fearing before anything has begun will not help at all. Remain positive, focused, and determined. You will make it through just fine :)
